Where art becomes a voice for the voiceless.
My name is Oksana, though I create under the artistic name Roxanne. I was born in Siberia, and from my earliest childhood I was surrounded by the breathtaking nature of the Taiga forests and the majestic Lake Baikal. These landscapes shaped my deep connection with nature that continues to inspire me today.
At the age of 19, my family moved to free Lithuania, where I later graduated from the University of Vilnius with a Master’s degree in English Linguistics. Throughout my life I have worked in the tourism industry and dedicated myself to learning languages. My work allowed me to travel extensively and live in different countries, including the United States, Cyprus, Lithuania, Georgia, and Spain.
Nature and animals have always held a special place in my heart. Over the years I have organized and participated in various charitable activities, including cleaning forests, rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans, as well as volunteering for animal rescue projects in Africa, Asia, and Europe.

For nearly six years I have also been practicing yoga, which has become an important part of my life. Yoga has taught me mindfulness, patience, and the ability to connect more deeply with myself and the world around me. In many ways, I believe that this spiritual and creative path eventually led me to discover painting.
A life-changing moment came in 2025 when I met the Russian painter Yulia Volkovich. Until then, I had never painted and had never shown any artistic talent, nor had I received any formal art education. Yet Yulia saw something in me and encouraged me to step into the world of art. Since then I have been completely captivated by this beautiful creative journey. Painting has become my passion and my daily meditation. I feel the urge to paint everything that surrounds me—what is near and what is far away. I experiment with different techniques and styles, allowing each work to grow naturally.
My paintings are not created as interior décor pieces, and I do not accept commissions. Every painting is born from my heart. I place my energy, emotions, and soul into each creation. When I paint, I enter a state of deep peace—it is the most meaningful moment of my day.
As this unexpected gift began to grow, I felt a strong desire to use it for something positive. That is how I decided to sell my paintings and share part of the proceeds with the Ace Shin Animal Rescue Center, based in La Cala de Mijas, Spain.
It fills me with happiness and pride to know that my art can help vulnerable animals live better, safer, and more dignified lives.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who supports my art. I hope to continue creating meaningful paintings, sharing beauty with the world, and raising greater awareness and support for this wonderful rescue center.
For me, art is not only a form of expression, but also a way to share compassion, positive energy, and care for all living beings.
I sign my paintings with the letters OK, the initials of my first and last name. The choice is intentional. While it identifies the work as mine, it also carries the universal meaning of “OK”—something that is right, resolved, and complete. The signature therefore functions both as an authorship mark and as a quiet affirmation that the work has reached its final balance. For me, it also holds a personal symbolism of good fortune as each painting leaves the studio and enters the world.
